Vaxcard: Vaccine Record Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Summary

Your family's vaccination records, documents and trips stay on your device. Vaxcard has no account, no cloud sync and no analytics, and nothing you record is sent to a server. Subscriptions are handled by RevenueCat.

This policy covers the Vaxcard: Vaccine Record app for iPhone and iPad, published by mk0.net, an independent app studio. It is written from what the app actually does in its code. Questions: [email protected].

What we receive

Nothing. We have no accounts or servers for this app, and nothing you save in it is sent to us.

What stays on your device

  • Family members (name, birth date, sex, relationship, photo, color, blood type, allergies and notes) and their vaccination records (vaccine, date, dose, next date, clinic, who gave it, lot number, manufacturer, injection site, reaction, certificate photo and notes) are stored on this device.
  • Documents you add (photos, PDFs and images of cards, certificates and reports, with their dates) and your trips are stored in the app's own storage on this device.
  • Your settings, such as notification choices, the Lock Screen detail setting, app lock, theme and language, are stored on this device.
  • The widgets read a small summary that the app saves on the same device: counts, family member names and the next dose. If you turn off details on the Lock Screen, names and vaccines are not written to that summary at all.

We cannot see this data. It is not uploaded to us.

Permissions the app may ask for

  • Camera: Used only when you tap Take photo to capture a vaccination card or certificate. Nothing is recorded in the background.
  • Face ID: Used only if you turn on the app lock in Settings. Apple handles the face check; Vaxcard only learns whether it succeeded.
  • Notifications: Optional and off by default. Asked only when you turn notifications on in Settings. Reminders are scheduled on your device; there are no push messages from a server.
  • Photos: No permission is needed to add a photo: the system photo picker hands over only the picture you choose. Vaxcard cannot read your library.

Every permission is optional and can be changed later in the iPhone Settings app. Features that need a permission you decline simply stay unavailable.

Data that leaves your device

The app talks to the following services. Each receives only what is listed, and only for the purpose shown.

  • RevenueCat (subscription management): Used to handle your subscription: an anonymous user ID, purchase and subscription status, and basic device and app information. Nothing you record in Vaxcard is sent. Their privacy policy.

Sensitive information

Vaccination records, documents, blood type and allergies are sensitive health data, and you may store them for your children and other family members. Everything is entered by you and stays on this device; Vaxcard does not use Apple Health. Nothing leaves your device unless you share a PDF card, send a support email or export a backup file yourself. You can lock the app with Face ID.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple ID, card or payment details. The app checks your subscription status through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous ID and your purchase status, not your identity.

Ads, tracking and analytics

No ads, no tracking across apps or websites, and no data is sold. The app contains no analytics SDK and no AI features.

Account

No account needed.

Children

Vaxcard: Vaccine Record is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Keeping and deleting your data

Settings > Delete all data (confirmed twice) removes everything the app stored on this device, including family members, vaccination records, documents, trips, scheduled reminders, widget data, temporary PDF files, the app lock and your settings. Backup files and shared PDFs are saved only where you choose. Deleting the app also removes all of its data from this device.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or KVKK), you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Because the app keeps your records on your own device, you can do most of this directly in the app or by deleting it. For anything else, or for data held by a service listed above, email [email protected] and we will help within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date below before the change ships.
