What it does

Your allergen list

Pick what you avoid from 15 allergens: gluten, wheat, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, sesame, celery, mustard, lupin and sulphites. Your own allergens are shown first in every result.

Read on your phone first

Before anything is sent, the phone reads the label text and checks it against more than 15,000 ingredient names and label phrases in many languages. These words can only make a warning stronger, and the result shows which word was found.

Gluten answer

The gluten answer comes from the same report as the allergen list. Gluten-free is shown only when the pack makes that claim. Choose coeliac disease, sensitivity or by choice to see what a may contain result means for you.

Sugar per serving

Grams and teaspoons per serving, with added sugar when the label shows it. Add an item to today and follow your day and week against a daily limit you set, 25 g by default.

My Foods

Every check is saved on your iPhone. Search it, mark favorites, add notes and tags, and open any result again.

Gentle reminders

Optional daily reminders and a weekly summary notification.

Free and premium. Everyone gets three free scans. Tracewise Premium removes the scan limit and comes weekly, monthly or yearly, with a free trial for new subscribers. Your allergen list, My Foods and the sugar log can be used without subscribing.
