FossilSnap Fossil ID AI Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2026
1. Agreement
These terms apply to the FossilSnap Fossil ID AI app published by mk0.net. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. The Apple Standard End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ, the Apple agreement wins for matters it covers.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app.
3. Subscriptions
- You get 3 free identifications, and you can always browse the finds you saved. Premium unlocks unlimited identifications.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends, at the same price unless we tell you otherwise in advance.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Your content
What you create or store in the app is yours. It stays on your device unless the app's privacy policy says otherwise. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.
5. Acceptable use
Use the app lawfully and do not use it to infringe anyone's rights, to access systems you are not allowed to access, or to interfere with the services the app connects to.
6. No warranty
AI identifications can be wrong. Treat results as a starting point and confirm important finds with a museum or expert. Follow local laws and landowner rules when collecting fossils.
The app is provided as is. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will be error free or uninterrupted, or that results will be suitable for a particular purpose.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, mk0.net is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
8. Third-party services
Some features rely on third-party services listed in the privacy policy. Their own terms apply to their services.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms when the app changes. The date below shows the latest version. Questions: [email protected].
