Frequently asked questions
How do I turn Filtr on?
Open the iPhone Settings app, go to Apps, then Messages, then Unknown & Spam, and choose Filtr under SMS Filtering.
Why is a text from a friend not filtered?
iOS only passes messages from senders who are not in your contacts to filter apps. Texts from your contacts are never filtered.
A real message ended up in Junk. What can I do?
Mark it as a mistake in the dashboard, or add the sender to your whitelist so it is never filtered again.
Does Filtr read my iMessages?
No. Filter apps only receive SMS and MMS from unknown senders. Decisions are made on your iPhone.
How do I restore my subscription?
Open Filtr, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID you subscribed with.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose the app and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the current period.
Will my data move to a new iPhone?
Filtr does not sync through iCloud, so your data does not move to a new phone by itself. Export your rules on the old phone and import them on the new one.
How do I contact support?
Email [email protected]. We usually reply within a few working days.
How do I ask for a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose the purchase.
